League Rules
*No metal Cleats
*2 umpires for the playoffs
*6 doubleheaders with rained out doubleheaders
taking the slot of the first available single game.
*We will have a midseason barbecue
*For roster purposes, you can have 4 non civilians
and 2 civilians on roster but still only have any combo
of 3 on the field.
*3 Courtesy runners per game with last out and each subsequent out
used as runners.
*All unaltered wood bats are allowed (Baseball and Softball)
* Semi Finals and Finals will again be on the same night.
*Championship will again be one 7 inning game.
Just a little roster housekeeping before the season starts.
You are again allowed to have 4 non civilians and 4 civilians on your roster but you are not allowed to have more than any combination of 3 on the field at once. Your none civilians can be whoever you want.
Examples:
2 NC and 1 C or 2 C and 1 NC or 2 of each if you are only playing a combination of 2
OR 1 of each.
Remember, all managers should print out the rosters and bring them with you to the game.
If you have a dispute as to a player's roster designation, get together with the other team manager and the umpire to determine the status of the player. If the player is supposed to be Police, Fire, Corrections, Bail Agent, Dispatcher, EMT, or Department Security and cannot produce the proper identification stating that they are, he is out of the game. If this takes place after a safe at bat, the player will be ruled out and all players on base must return to their prior base. If it is discovered while on the field and the offending player contributes to the out, then that previous play will be voided , all players will return to their bases and the batter will hit over. If the dismissal of this player leaves the team short a player, they will be allowed to finish the game and will not have to forfeit.
If, for whatever reason, the offending player refuses to leave the field, the game will IMMEDIATELY be deemed a forfeit so it is in the best interest of the offending team to get the guy off the field.
Remember, there is no reason to text me or call me with this problem. The rules are clearly stated and can be executed simply by telling the umpire and team manager that you have a problem with the lineup. Team managers can handle this at the game and I should not have to deal with it over a cell phone.
At the end of the day gentlemen, we are all beholden to the shield in some way or form and for the most part, are all friends. Let us all act like the honorable men that we are and conduct ourselves accordingly so that none of the stuff listed above is necessary.
